Born in St.Catharines, Derek grazed on a rich fix of music.  From jazz to country, nothing stopped him from learning the genre, and evolving with time to create fresh sounds that will entice listeners. After 20 years of being surrounded by music, Derek Nelson has created a reputable name for himself.  An international touring guitarist, studio musician, producer, studio owner and backline technician.

 

His electric energy can be found playing with the grammy nominated band Green Jellö in which

he is a contributing writer and touring guitarist. As Green Jello brings much of his time to the United states, and worldwide.  Local bands such as “The Advancing Low-lives”, “Temple of Night” and "The Wake" keep Derek busy in his hometown and surrounding cities.
